Updated October 26, 2026 how this site earns money, on 1 page
Every tour here books on Viator, the booking platform behind the buttons. When you book through a button on this site, Viator pays a commission. That's the whole business; here is how it works.
Tours
A button that says "See dates & prices" opens the tour's page on Viator with 2 partner parameters in the link. If you book there, in that visit or soon after, Viator pays this site a share of what it earns. Three rules hold:
- Your price is the same. The commission comes out of Viator's margin, not on top of your bill. The price you see on the booking page is the price everyone pays there.
- The lists are written first. A tour gets onto a list by its reviews and by matching the list's title, through the same method every time. The order inside a list is by review count. What a tour pays never changes it. The 14 lists hold 73 tours, and the commission on any of them is the same share.
- Direct is named when it's cheaper. Where a Navajo company sells the same slot on its own site, the page says so and names the price: $80.50 for Lower at Ken's and Dixie's, $92 plus the $15 permit for Upper at Antelope Canyon Tours. A direct booking earns this site nothing.
What earns nothing
- The Navajo Nation permit, the Horseshoe Bend parking fee, the Glen Canyon entrance fee and anything else sold by a public body. You get the fact and the seller's name; the site gets nothing.
- The direct prices of the tour companies, the lake level, the weather and the two clocks. Information with no money attached.
Other partners
None today. If a car-rental or a lodging partner ever appears here, this page names them, and the same 3 rules apply. The partner pays the commission. Your price stays the same. The recommendation is written before the partner is chosen.
