What you pay

Know before you go

Navajo permit

The permit costs $15 per person, per location, per day. It's separate from your guided-tour reservation; national park passes don't cover it.

Extra fees

Canyon X adds booking fees. Secret adds a 6% booking fee and $3 fuel surcharge; your total includes those extras.

Same-day permit

Ken's accepts duplicate-permit refund requests when you show a same-day receipt at check-in. That doesn't mean one permit covers every canyon you book.

Paid protection

Antelope Slot Canyon Tours has final sales unless you've bought refund protection. The $10 option lets you cancel up to 24 hours ahead. Processing fees aren't refunded.

How to book

Antelope Canyon: how to book

Your check-in deadline comes before the tour starts.

  1. 1
    Choose your canyon

Lower has steep stairs; Antelope Hogann's Upper hike takes 170 minutes with no vehicle transfer. Use the canyon comparison to match the route to your group.

  2. 2
    Choose your seller

Direct bookings get you the company's own terms. If you need a ride from another city, choose a tour with that pickup included.

  3. 3
    Read your total

Your checkout needs to show the permit and any extra fees. Save the cancellation terms with your booking receipt before you travel.

  4. 4
    Check in on Page time

Ken's check-in is 30 minutes early. Dixie's is 45 minutes. Use your booked company's meeting point and its check-in rules.

The catch: Page time stays on MST. Navajo Nation time runs an hour ahead from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. The clocks match the rest of the year.

Good to know

People also ask

  • Do you need tickets for Antelope Canyon?

Yes, you need a guided tour with an authorized Navajo company. There isn't a separate gate admission for exploring on your own. Your $15 permit alone won't get you into Upper or Lower without a guide.

  • How much are Antelope Canyon tickets?

Antelope Hogann's Upper hike starts from $58 per person aged 8 and older, plus $3.48 tax and the $15 permit. It takes 170 minutes with no vehicle transfer. Ken's and Dixie's Lower General tours start from $80.50 per person including the permit. Taadidiin's Canyon X hike starts from $47 per adult aged 18 and older, plus the $15 permit and booking fees.

  • Where can you buy Antelope Canyon tickets?

You can book your chosen canyon directly with an authorized operator. Ken's and Dixie's run Lower tours; Taadidiin runs Canyon X. The booking page also sells transport packages with their own pickup and refund terms.

  • How far ahead should you book Antelope Canyon?

Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours opens dates 1 to 2 months ahead. Horseshoe Bend Tours recommends at least a week's notice for Secret. Book once your dates are set; an unopened calendar doesn't mean your date has sold out.

  • Is the Navajo permit included in Antelope Canyon tours?

The $15 permit is included in Lower General tours at Ken's and Dixie's. Canyon X adds it to your fare; Antelope Hogann's Upper hike requires a separate purchase. The permit doesn't replace your guided-tour reservation. Ken's refunds a second permit fee if you show a receipt from the same day. That doesn't mean one permit covers every canyon you book.

  • Can you cancel an Antelope Canyon tour?

Your direct-booking refund window depends on the company. Ken's needs 72 hours; Dixie's gives full refunds with more than 24 hours. Antelope Hogann sales are final even for weather changes. If you've booked through the booking page, your selected tour's terms govern cancellation.

  • How much is Horseshoe Bend?

Horseshoe Bend parking costs $10 per car or RV at the City of Page lot. You don't need a guided tour. The lot opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. Your national park pass won't cover parking.
