Antelope Canyon tours by duration
Lower's basic tours take 60 to 90 minutes. Your check-in comes earlier; bundles with another canyon take longer.
Guided kayak hikes take 4 hours on Lake Powell. You won't reach Upper or Lower from the water.
Las Vegas day trips with the Grand Canyon run 17 to 19 hours. Overnight tours spread stops across several days.

- Do you need a tour to visit Antelope Canyon?
Yes, every Antelope Canyon site on Navajo land requires a Navajo guide. You can't walk in alone. Horseshoe Bend's public overlook is different: parking at the City of Page lot costs $10 per car. You don't need a guide there; a tour adds transport or another activity.
- Which is better, Upper or Lower Antelope Canyon?
Upper suits you for midday beams; Lower costs less and requires stairs. Upper's exit has an uphill walk and stairs too. Canyon X starts from $82 per adult for hiking. You'll need its photo option for a tripod; the hiking tour doesn't allow one.
- How far is Antelope Canyon from Las Vegas?
Las Vegas airport is 284.6 miles, or 458 km, from Page; the modeled drive takes 5 hours 59 minutes one way. That's before stops or traffic. VIPTOUR's Lower and Horseshoe Bend day trip takes 14 hours; Upper with National Park Express takes 15 hours. A day tour works if you accept long drives; an overnight in Page gives you more time.
