Before you book

Know before you go

The permit

The permit is $15 per person for each location and day; it's included only where marked. Your national park pass doesn't cover it.

The two clocks

Your tours use Page time: Mountain Standard Time all year. Navajo Nation time runs one hour ahead from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. The clocks match otherwise.

Bags

Ken's and Dixie's ban clear bags too, and Canyon X hiking has the same rule. Leave your bag behind unless your booked tour allows it.

Refunds

Your cancellation deadline depends on your seller and booked option. Direct and booking-page terms can differ. Read your refund terms before you pay, including weather cancellations.

Good to know

People also ask

  • Which Antelope Canyon tour company is best?

Dixie's direct bookings suit changing plans: full refunds need more than 24 hours. Ken's Deluxe caps your group at six, while Taadidiin's photo tour allows your tripod. Choose your canyon first; then compare your seller's terms.

  • Which is better, Ken's or Dixie's Lower Antelope Canyon tour?

Both start from $80.50 per person with the permit included. For direct bookings, Dixie's refunds you in full more than 24 hours ahead. Ken's needs 72 hours and keeps its booking fee. Its Deluxe tour caps groups at six. Your booking-page terms may differ.

  • Is Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours legit?

Yes, Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours is one of six Upper operators in the Navajo Parks directory. Your group must pay together at check-in to stay together. Its general refund window isn't published, so you need the cancellation terms before paying.

  • Who runs Antelope Canyon X tours?

Taadidiin Tours runs Canyon X and Cardiac Canyon. You can book a 90-minute Canyon X hike or a 3-hour photo tour; Cardiac hiking takes 4 hours. Your Canyon X booking doesn't include access to Upper or Lower.

  • Can you book Antelope Canyon tours direct?

Yes, each company's own website gives you a booking route. Your direct reservation includes a Navajo guide; the $15 permit isn't a stand-alone canyon tour. Direct and booking-page reservations can have different terms. Compare your cancellation deadline and arrival instructions before paying.

  • Can you visit Antelope Canyon without a tour?

No, Navajo Parks requires guided access to Antelope Canyon locations. Paying the $15 permit alone doesn't give you an unguided visit. You need a time slot with a company that serves your canyon. Follow its check-in rules.
