Options

Which option to book

Prime costs more than the daily NonPrime option, without a specified canyon entry time. Page and Las Vegas match from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, with Page 1 hour ahead otherwise.

Option Departures
Special rate 4:30 a.m., one date only
NonPrime Lower Antelope Canyon 5 a.m., daily
Prime Lower Antelope Canyon 5:15 a.m., daily
Means: Choose NonPrime for the 14-hour route if your budget matters, since Prime doesn't establish a different canyon entry window.

The catch: The Navajo permit adds $15 per person, payable to your guide on arrival.

Route

How does the day work?

Your Las Vegas transfer follows the canyon visit with overlooks, then brings you back to the same meeting point.

  1. 90 min
    1. Lower Antelope Canyon

A Navajo guide takes you through Lower's sandstone passages. The stop's time allowance includes travel, so it doesn't all go toward walking inside the slot.

  2. 60 min
    2. Horseshoe Bend overlook

The viewpoint looks down onto the Colorado River's bend. Travel is part of this stop's allowance too, reducing the time spent at the overlook itself.

  3. 20 min
    3. Lake Powell overlook

Lake Powell has a 20-minute overlook stop for photos. You stay on land, so the route doesn't include a boat trip or Rainbow Bridge.

The 14-hour day includes 90 minutes for Lower and 60 minutes for Horseshoe Bend, with travel counted in each. Lake Powell has 20 minutes. Your return ends at your chosen Las Vegas meeting point.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Meeting choices: Meeting choices include Excalibur's bus pickup area and Circus Circus Main Entrance. Your selected point needs matching to the guide's message before departure.
  • Assigned time: Your guide sends the dated Las Vegas meeting appointment 1 day before travel. The canyon's entry time can change departure, so that message sets your boarding time.
  • Canyon clothing: Wear pants or shorts with closed-toe shoes. Skirts and dresses aren't allowed for this canyon visit, even though the day also includes outdoor overlooks.
  • Lunch choice: Your sandwich defaults to turkey. A beef or vegetarian sandwich needs requesting from the guide 1 day ahead of the trip.

Before you book

  • Prime doesn't specify a canyon entry time. Your guide sends your meeting time the day before and can adjust the departure.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

A 14-hour day works if you want Lower and a Lake Powell stop with lunch. Your dates need to be firm. The permit is a separate cost. That matters alongside the no-refund policy when you're deciding whether the starting price fits your budget.

For cancellation up to 24 hours before travel, Jupiter Legend includes Lower and lunch from $239 per adult. Travelers who want fewer people can choose MaxTour from $269.99 per person, with a 14-guest cap.

Means: Pick NonPrime if its date suits you, since Prime doesn't establish a specific canyon entry time.

Who it's not for

  • Travelers whose dates may change
  • Anyone who needs a bag or action camera inside Lower
  • Travelers who need the permit included in the starting price

Good to know

Know before you go

Permit payment

The Navajo permit costs $15 per person and is paid to your guide on arrival. Your canyon admission is included separately. The starting tour price doesn't cover the permit.

Canyon clothing

Pants or shorts are required for the canyon visit. Closed-toe shoes are needed too. Your outfit can't include a skirt or dress, and sandals aren't recommended for the walk.

Cameras and bags

No bags can enter the canyon. Tripods and action cameras are barred too. Your visit also excludes walking aids, so equipment needed for balance can make this tour unsuitable.

Meeting notice

Your guide sends the meeting time 1 day ahead. A change to canyon entry can change the departure too. The general start time won't replace that message for your chosen stop.

Weather and minimums

Weather can close a destination. A departure canceled for too few travelers offers another date or tour, with a full refund also available. Your own booking doesn't guarantee the minimum will be reached.

Booking and refunds

Your booking allows up to 15 travelers and uses a mobile voucher. Voluntary cancellations aren't refundable. Infant seats are available, though your child's seat arrangement needs settling before the trip.

People also ask

  • What does VIPTOUR's Lower Antelope Canyon trip cost before the permit?

VIPTOUR's NonPrime trip costs from $209 per person before the separate permit. Lower admission and lunch are included. You also get Horseshoe Bend admission and a Lake Powell photo stop during the 14-hour day.

  • How much is the Navajo permit on VIPTOUR's Antelope Canyon tour?

VIPTOUR collects the $15 Navajo permit per person through your guide on arrival. It isn't folded into the starting price. Your canyon admission and the permit are separate items, so included admission doesn't remove this charge.

  • Can you change VIPTOUR's default sandwich lunch?

VIPTOUR accepts lunch changes through your guide 1 day before travel. Turkey is the default, with beef or a vegetarian sandwich available instead. Your meal request needs to reach the guide before departure.

  • Does VIPTOUR's Prime option guarantee a midday Lower Antelope Canyon visit?

VIPTOUR's Prime option doesn't publish a canyon entry time. Your guide can adjust departure around the assigned entry and sends the meeting time 1 day ahead. The option's name doesn't establish midday lighting.

  • Is VIPTOUR's Antelope Canyon trip limited to a small van group?

VIPTOUR's departure can carry up to 55 travelers in a van or bus. Your reservation has a 15-person limit. That booking cap doesn't limit the number of fellow travelers in the vehicle.
