The day

How does the day work?

Zion and the Page stops fill day 1 before the South Rim visit on day 2.

  1. 1
    Las Vegas pickup

A pickup near the Strip or Downtown starts day 1. You may need to walk to a nearby hotel before the van arrives.

  2. 2
    Zion National Park

Zion is your first park stop. You see the canyon before continuing toward Page for the slot canyon visit.

  3. 3
    Lower and Horseshoe Bend

A Navajo guide leads the slot canyon walk. Horseshoe Bend follows, with an overlook walk before your hotel stay.

  4. 4
    Page or Flagstaff hotel

The booking page allows either overnight town. Your assigned hotel determines where you stay, with one room for your party.

  5. 5
    Grand Canyon South Rim

Day 2 takes you to the South Rim viewpoints. Stops can include Yavapai Point or Grandview Point, depending on the day's route.

  6. 6
    Route 66 and return

Williams and Seligman break up your ride back. Lunch is at your expense before the final drive to Las Vegas.

The journey takes 2 days with one overnight stop. The last leg returns you to a Las Vegas hotel after Route 66. Your drop-off time isn't fixed.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Hotel coverage: Hotels near the Strip and Downtown Las Vegas are covered. Your pickup can be at a different hotel from the one you selected.
  • Pickup window: Pickup begins 30 to 60 minutes before departure. Your dated email supplies the Las Vegas boarding appointment and may assign a nearby hotel.
  • Late booking: Hotel pickup isn't available for bookings made within 24 hours of departure. Check the meeting arrangements before booking that late.
  • Overnight bags: Bring a backpack or soft travel bag. A suitcase can get you turned away at boarding, even though the trip includes a hotel night.

Before you book

  • Page matches Las Vegas from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, then runs one hour ahead. Check your dated Las Vegas pickup instructions before boarding.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

Two days suit you if you want Lower and Zion with an overnight break. Your party of 4 gets the base rate by sharing one room. The walks need moderate fitness. It won't fit if Monument Valley is essential.

Fun Group's day trip keeps your trip to one day from $346 per adult with Canyon X. For Monument Valley and Bryce, MaxTour's longer trip runs from $799.99 per person. That rate needs four sharing both hotel nights.

Means: Choose the four-person room when your group can share for one night.

Who it's not for

  • Children under 5
  • Travelers bringing any suitcase
  • Travelers needing full refunds less than 6 days ahead

Good to know

Know before you go

Age and fitness

The minimum age is 5 for this overnight trip. Your party needs moderate fitness for the canyon walks. The tour isn't recommended during pregnancy or with spinal injuries.

Soft bags

Only soft bags or backpacks can travel with you. A suitcase can prevent you from boarding. That includes carry-on cases, even for this one-night stay.

Rooms and bookings

You can reserve for 1 to 4 travelers in one booking. Each reservation gets one hotel room. Smaller parties pay more per person than four sharing.

Pickup email

Your meeting email arrives the day before the trip. Pickup starts 30 to 60 minutes before departure. The assigned hotel may be a short walk from yours, so use that dated appointment.

Meal budget

Breakfast is included during your 2-day trip. Lunches and dinners remain your expense. Your guide leaves time to eat along the route and can suggest places.

Park charges

Non-U.S. residents aged 16 and older face a $100 extra fee at the Grand Canyon and at Zion. The $250 America the Beautiful Non-Resident Annual Pass covers its holder and three additional adults on your commercial tour. The price excludes these supplements.
