The day
How does the day work?
Your captain meets you at the chosen marina, then follows a route built around your group's sightseeing and water sports.
- 1
Marina departure
Your group meets the captain at the marina chosen for the trip. Bring your own food and drinks.
- 2
Lake Powell sightseeing
Your captain plans the lake route around your group's activities. A custom trip doesn't guarantee a Rainbow Bridge visit or a particular landing.
- 3
Water sports
Wakeboarding and tubing are among the activities you can request. You can also spend part of your trip swimming.
- 4
Return to shore
The captain takes your group back to the agreed marina. You can finish early if you choose.
The base option allows up to 4 hours on the lake. The upgrade gives you 8 hours with the same return marina. Your start time is arranged separately.
Pickup and meeting point
- Meeting marinas: Wahweap and Antelope Point are meeting options. Stateline Dock is another choice for your arranged departure. Your exact dock is agreed for the booking.
- Other marinas: Bullfrog Marina and Halls Crossing Marina are also served, so your group can meet at either marina.
- Getting there: Your group travels to the agreed marina independently. Check the Page-time appointment and exact boarding dock before setting out.
Before you book
- Check the chosen boat's guest capacity before paying. A 15-guest booking limit doesn't show whether the captain counts toward seating.
Fit
Is this tour right for you?
The 4-hour private tour suits a group that wants a captain and water sports. You'll need the boat's guest capacity settled before paying. Your plans need to be firm because you won't get a refund if you cancel.
If someone in your group can drive, the 14-person MasterCraft rental gives you 8 hours from $5,695 per boat for up to 14. The LPX photo boat costs from $199 per person when you only want a short canyon cruise.
Who it's not for
- Parties exceeding 15 guests per booking
- Travelers who need refundable bookings
- Groups expecting fuel and meals in the price
Good to know
Know before you go
Children and strollers can come, but the boat isn't wheelchair accessible. Children ages 12 and younger must wear approved life jackets while underway. Anyone being towed needs a life jacket too.
Bring your own food and drinks for the tour. Meals aren't part of the price. Your bag should also have towels and sunscreen for time on the lake.
Poor weather can stop the captain from running your trip. If the operator cancels for that reason, you'll be offered another date or a full refund. Your own change of plans follows different terms.
Your group meets at the marina arranged with Lake Powell Rentals. There's no hotel ride included. The same marina is your return point, so your ground transport needs to fit both ends.
Your payment isn't refundable when you cancel either tour length. Book only after the group agrees on the date. The weather policy doesn't provide a refund just because you change your plans.
One booking accepts up to 15 guests and uses a mobile voucher. Your boat's guest capacity needs separate agreement, including how the captain counts. The fuel bill is separate from the booking price, as are taxes and other fees.
