Route
How does the day work?
Your visit begins at Dixie's canyon site, then continues on foot down the stairs into Lower with a Navajo guide.
- 60 min
1. Lower Antelope Canyon
Five flights of stairs lead into Lower's largest cavern. Eight ladders continue the route, and your Navajo guide can help with photos.
The walk to the entrance takes 10 minutes. Your guided hike takes 60 to 90 minutes. It finishes back at Dixie's canyon site.
Pickup and meeting point
- Meeting point: Dixie's green roof marks the meeting point. It's the first left inside the Navajo Tribal Park, and you arrange your own ride to the canyon.
- Arrival deadline: Arrive 45 minutes before your departure. If you'll miss that deadline, call Dixie's about the next available tour. A later place isn't guaranteed.
- Shoes and bags: Shoes that cover your toes are required for the walk. The approach crosses rock and sand. Bags aren't allowed inside the canyon.
Before you book
- Children aged 0 to 3 join free, but the route still has stairs. A hiking carrier is required for ages 2 and under.

Good to know
Know before you go
One reservation holds 1 to 8 travelers and must include an adult. The walking group can be larger than your party. You may share your Navajo guide with other guests up to the limit of 15.
Free admission covers ages 0 to 3, though each child needs a booked place. Ages 4 to 7 pay the full rate. Children aged 2 and under must ride in a hiking backpack on the route.
Wear shoes with grip that cover your toes. Your approach to Lower crosses loose sand and rock before the stairs begin. Water can come with you, but a bag to hold it can't enter the canyon.
Parking at Dixie's is included and has room for RVs. Check-in is 45 minutes before departure, and your phone can hold the voucher. Set your phone to Phoenix so it keeps Page time.
Storms upstream can interrupt a departure at short notice. Dry weather at the canyon isn't enough to rule out flooding. You need the operator's closure instructions if the planned walk can't go ahead.
A full refund requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the scheduled start. Later cancellations lose the payment. Check your plans before that deadline, especially if the drive to Page depends on other bookings.
