★ #9 of 12 in our Antelope Canyon tours from Las Vegas list Picked from the 45 Antelope Canyon day tours from Las Vegas in the Page catalogue, the way every tour here gets picked.

Updated the price every day; listing, departure times and pickup notes

National Park Express provides private transport from Las Vegas to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. The 13-hour day costs from $303.45 per person in a group of 29 for 29 on the Lower option. Your party can choose Upper at a higher price, with lunch and both admissions included. Custom hotel pickup comes with either choice. Your party size changes the price, and a private vehicle doesn't give you exclusive canyon access.

Options

Which option to book

Upper and Lower share a daily departure, with the price set by canyon choice and party size. Page and Las Vegas match from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, with Page 1 hour ahead otherwise.

Option Departures
Lower Antelope Canyon 5:30 a.m., daily
Upper Antelope Canyon 5:30 a.m., daily
Means: Choose Lower for your 13-hour private day only if everyone can manage its steep stairs.

The catch: The starting rate is for 29 travelers, and a private vehicle doesn't reserve the canyon for your group.

Route

How does the day work?

Your private vehicle handles the road journey to Page and back around a canyon walk and Horseshoe Bend.

  1. pass by
    1. Virgin River Gorge

The drive passes through the Virgin River Gorge. You'll see the rock walls from your vehicle as the road winds between them.

  2. 90 min
    2. Antelope Canyon

Your Navajo guide leads the selected canyon walk. Upper and Lower are separate choices, so the walk follows the section selected when you book.

  3. 60 min
    3. Horseshoe Bend overlook

Horseshoe Bend is a walk from the parking area. The 1.5-mile (2.4-km) round trip brings the river's curve into view from the clifftop.

  4. pass by
    4. Lake Powell

Lake Powell is viewed along the driving route. The reservoir stretches into Arizona and Utah, with red rock country around the shoreline.

  5. pass by
    5. Glen Canyon Dam

Glen Canyon Dam stands between the reservoir and the river below. This is a passing view, so there's no tour inside the dam.

  6. pass by
    6. Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

The monument's rock formations appear across the desert landscape. You see them during the drive, with long views when the air is clear.

  7. pass by
    7. Kanab

Kanab sits along the route through southern Utah. The town's film history comes from its red rock surroundings, used in Western movies.

The canyon stop has 90 minutes and Horseshoe Bend has 60 minutes. Those visits fit within the 13-hour return trip to Las Vegas.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Custom hotel pickup: Custom hotel pickup includes locations beyond the central Strip. Arrange your location and dated Las Vegas boarding appointment with the reservations team before travel.
  • Boarding documents: Arrive 10 minutes before your assigned pickup time with the booking voucher. A valid photo ID is needed too.
  • Bag allowance: Your vehicle allowance is one bag no larger than a backpack. Keep it in the vehicle during the canyon walk, because the canyon doesn't allow bags.
  • Footwear and sun: Walking shoes need to suit steep stairs and uneven ground. Sun protection is advised on sunny days for the outdoor stops.

Before you book

  • A private vehicle doesn't remove the walking rules. Your group must walk unassisted, and walking aids can't go into the canyon.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

Private transport suits a group that wants its own pickup arrangements for a 13-hour day. Your party chooses Upper or Lower. The starting rate applies to 29 travelers choosing Lower. A couple shouldn't budget from that figure because the price changes with party size.

For a shared Upper day, National Park Express's coach tour includes lunch from $269 per person. If a small shared vehicle is enough, MaxTour visits Lower with up to 14 guests from $269.99 per person.

Means: Pick Lower to keep the private price down, provided every guest can manage its steep stairs.

Who it's not for

  • Travelers who need the canyon reserved for their party
  • Guests who need walking aids
  • Groups needing refundable plans

Good to know

Know before you go

Walking limits

Every guest must walk without assistance over uneven ground and changes in slope. Canes and walkers can't enter the canyon. Your private vehicle doesn't waive the local walking rules.

Clothing and luggage

Walking shoes and sun protection suit the outdoor stops. Your vehicle allowance is one bag up to backpack size. Bags can't accompany you during the canyon walk.

Pickup documents

Custom pickup needs arranging with the reservations team. Bring your booking voucher and valid photo ID. You're expected at the assigned location 10 minutes before departure.

Canyon closure

A closed canyon doesn't necessarily cancel your road trip. Horseshoe Bend remains on the replacement route, with views of Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. The canyon admission is refunded after a processing fee.

Vehicle rules

Alcohol isn't permitted in the vehicle. Intoxicated guests can be refused without a refund, and pets can't join the tour. Service animals are also excluded from this trip.

Booking and cancellation

A reservation accepts 1 to 30 travelers. Your voucher is mobile, though pickup instructions also accept a printed copy. Voluntary cancellations don't qualify for a refund.
